Welcome to Hitachi Science & Engineering Fair, Alameda County! You are here because you. asked a testable question to solve through experimentation or came up with an engineering problem to solve! Whether you have participated before or this is your first year, we are excited to have you! If you have any questions on how to participate in the fair, please let us know.

Hello Everyone!

We are excited to bring yet another opportunity for students to showcase their Science and Engineering projects and gain additional exposure, recognition, and awards. Kindly register early as seats are limited.

a) STEM Challenge 2026

     A Science and Engineering Fair for students in Grades 3–12 across the Bay Area

b) STEM4ALL Math Contest 2026

     For students in Grades 3–8 (Sprint | Team | Relay rounds)

We look forward to celebrating the innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills of our Bay Area youth.

Join the Hitachi Science & Engineering Fair, Alameda County Student Leadership Board (SLB) for an inspiring afternoon of STEM exploration and discovery!

Open to students in grades 6–12, parents, and community members.

  • Discover Hitachi Science & Engineering Fair, Alameda County SLB and its three student leadership divisions

  • Be inspired by Hitachi Science & Engineering Fair, Alameda County Alumni, hear from current college students as they share how science fair experiences shaped their journeys in STEM and leadership

  • Meet our student leaders and ask questions about their roles and experiences

  • Learn how to join our Mentorship Program to get ready for the 2026 Alameda County Science Fair

  • Enjoy interactive science games and hands-on activities

Admission is free, space is limited and wristbands are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Arduino Workshop

The Hitachi Science & Engineering Fair, Alameda County SLB is excited to announce an upcoming Arduino Workshop for students in grades 5-8! This hands-on session will introduce participants to the basics of circuitry and programming while working on interactive projects!

📍 Location Union City Library

⏰ Time 2:45-5 pm

 

No prior experience is needed!

 

If you’d like to attend, please RSVP by Wednesday, October 15th so we can prepare enough kits for everyone.
