Round 1 Judging

Round 1 Judging in the morning is used to determine Middle school and High School divisions 1st to 4th within each of the judging categories. There are multiples of each of the category awards given.

Round 1 is also used to determine the projects earning Special Awards which are given by national, state and local corporations and organizations to recognize student achievement. These consist of certificates, medals, scholarships, internships and more. ALL projects compete in Round 1 Judging within their grade level division (MS or HS).

Round 2 Judging

After Round 1 Judging ends everyone breaks for the Group Photo, then lunch

Round 2 Judging - Student projects selected through Round 1 will be announced shortly before Round 2 by Project ID on our website home page https://acsef.org and our zfairs homepage https://acsef.zfairs.com. Round 2 students will be interviewed to determine the state, national and international science fair participants.​
